Since I was admitted to the bar at the Berlin Regional Court in May 1983 and admitted to the Berlin Court of Appeal (Higher Regional Court) in 1988, I have advised on clients in the areas of commercial and corporate law, real estate, tenancy and building law, but also in family and inheritance law. From 1993 to 2022 I worked as a notary in Berlin.
Due to my language skills, I also provide legal advice in Danish. In particular, I advise Danish clients who want to establish themselves or their company in Germany, both in choosing the appropriate legal form and in all other questions, such as employment, rental and articles of association.

Real estate law
From our point of view, buying and selling real estate is a matter, for both the consumer and the professional, that should not be done carelessly. Our team has decades of experience in this, and you are in competent hands.
Corporate law
We would be happy to support you in choosing the right type of company and founding your company. Notarial certification is required for the formation of a GmbH or entrepreneurial company. We also have experience with shareholdings and proof of representation for foreign companies.
Family law
In the event of a divorce, a divorce agreement, in which the spouses can mutually settle all questions regarding the distribution of assets, maintenance, pension claims and custody in advance in an agreement certified by a notary, can avoid disputes and spare your nerves.
We will be happy to help you at the beginning of your marriage by means of a notarial marriage contract to deal with the topic responsibly and to start your life together as a married couple on an equal footing. Such a marriage contract can create legal certainty, especially for couples with different nationalities, for example by specifying the law applicable to the consequences of divorce through a choice of law in the marriage contract.
Inheritance law
We will be happy to support you in processing the inheritance of testators, even if they died abroad and left assets in Germany.
Together with you we will find the right solution if you want to arrange your estate during your lifetime.
Task of the notary
Notaries draft and certify contracts in the field of real estate, company, family and inheritance law.
Contracts for developed or undeveloped land, condominium purchase contracts, promises of donations, declarations by which a person submits to immediate enforcement (for example a land charge) as well as marriage contracts, inheritance contracts, affidavits to obtain certificates of inheritance, contracts for the establishment of a GmbH or AG, the assignment of a shares in a GmbH require notarization.
If, for example, the conveyance - this is the agreement between seller and buyer on the transfer of ownership - is declared in a purchase contract for a property located in Germany, which is usually the case and required, this can only be done with a German notary. The conveyance of German property with a foreign notary is void.
